Hello and thank you for visiting my website.  I am a proud school educator of more than 20 years.  I began my writing journey in 2020. It all started with me writing a series of blogs and reports on the state of schools in New York State.

Then in 2022, I was moved to publish a social justice curriculum in response to the racially motivated mass shooting that took place in my hometown of Buffalo, New York.   The book won multiple awards and received national recognition.  So I continued to write.

My latest book, Black Schools White Lies, is partially autobiographical yet solidly based on research and hard facts.  In it I argue that multiple, historical systems embedded in school policy are designed to prevent the Black community from hiring locally, teaching our own curriculum, and advancing economically.

From time to time I also attempt to write poetry.  However, when I am not writing, I am usually playing my clarinet, saxophone, and flute, volunteering in my community, hiking through the Hudson Valley, or just hanging out with friends and family.
